The Booking process How it all works

1. Get in touch - lets chat about the kind of session your after!

2. Lock in the details - we will discuss a location, wardrobe ideas, and I'll send a booking link to choose a date and time.

3. Pre-session prep - I'll send a quick questionnaire and confirm the time and location.

4. Shoot day! I'll double check the weather and then we get to make magic together!

5. Sneak peeks + gallery delivery. You'll get a few previews within 24 hours and a full gallery within 1-2 weeks.

FAQ

How many pictures will we receive?

For a standard session, you will receive 30 of the best images all professionally edited and able to be downloaded and printed.

You then have to option to upgrade to a full gallery of between 80-100 images, for an additional $100

There will be a mixture of colour and black and white, close-ups and details. You can also specify any preferences for example posed or candid images in your pre-session questionnaire that I will send you once you've booked in a time. My style is very much documentary / storytelling so I love more candid sessions.

How should we dress for our family session?

Wear clothes that are comfortable and weather-appropriate, if you want to create a more curated look with colours and styling, send me a message and I can help. Similar tones/textures can work well, for example, denim, browns and blues. Or whites and natural colours can also look nice together. Sometimes adding a pattern in can create variety and interest as well. A pop of colour like red or yellow also works well!

What’s the best time to have a session?

1-2 hours after sunrise or 1-2 hours before sunset are best for that golden hour, dreamy look for an outdoor session. Having kids myself, I completely understand finding a time that works well with wake-ups/bedtime/naptimes, so happy to work with your schedule.

For indoor sessions, anytime between 10am-4pm is best when there is a lot of light coming through your windows.

We don't feel very confident in front of the camera is that ok?

Of course, my job is to give you some guidance and prompts to help you loosen up and feel more natural, this might involve a bit of simple movement like walking towards the camera or spinning around, but I always take time at the start of the session to get to know you as well and make sure that you feel comfortable with me.

How many people can you include in an extended family session?

As many people as you like! I'm fairly comfortable with large groups, although it can be hard to get the perfect shot with everyone looking, especially if there are little ones but we will do our best! And then take time with smaller group shots as well.

Do you charge travel fees?

Yes, there is a $50 travel fee for each additional 30 minutes of travel past my 30 minute radius from Lilydale.

For example, for one hour travel its an extra $50, for 1.5 hours its an extra $100. I'm always happy to travel to beautiful locations!

When should I book a maternity session?

Anywhere between 30-34 weeks is probably best for those beautiful bump photos! Its a good idea to book these in advance as my weekends tend to book out 1-2 months ahead.
